Ceramic buttons with mini crystals, these are about 17 mm and sold in sets of 8. The size and position of crystals is different from button to button. There have been several sets in this design. Product photo just shows some of them.
To achieve the final look these buttons are glazed with 2 glazes in overall 4 layers which makes the creation process technically demanding and tricky due to the tiny size of the buttons.
As most other our buttons these were fired two times. First firing is the so called bisque firing where temperature goes as high as 1000C degrees. After that our buttons are ready to be glazed. We put 4 layers of glaze manually and when they've dried, buttons are fired for the second time at about 1230C degrees. The backside of the buttons stays unglazed.
Can you wash the buttons in a washing machine? We would always go for handwash to provide extra care. However smaller buttons can also be washed in a machine, provided you choose wool or handwash program and the garment is turned inside out and put in a laundry bag. The buttons are not afraid of water or temperature, its all about continuous strokes against the washing machine drum when spinning. For buttons 23mm and bigger we strongly recommend handwash.
Please be aware that each button is 100% handmade so there may be imperfections in size and shape.
